Not that complicated Download the .rar File and put Minecraft 1.1 in a folder somewhere if you don't want to replace it (suggest you do this if you have mods) If not just replace it to do this go the start menu and type in %appdata% click on .minecraft go into bin then drag and replace 1.1 with 1.2 and start up Minecraft you'll have to start a new world to see the new features IF you want to go back to 1.0 if you had it in a folder just delete the Minecraft 1.1 winrar file and place the 1.0 inside but or just force update (easiest way for n00bs) hopes this helps doubt it lol
